Miranda de Ebro
At the first, Miranda de Ebro occupied only one of the banks of the Ebro River, but with the passing of the years and the development of the city, it began to expand to the other side.
This was possible thanks to the construction of the Bridge of Carlos III, one of the most touristic and important points of the city, from which to admire stunning views.
During your visit to Miranda de Ebro, you cannot miss the old town with the Plaza de España and its Town Hall, or the Church of Santa María.
Haro
20 kilometres from Miranda de Ebro its Haro, a small town of La Rioja full of charm and history.
This town is considered the capital of the Rioja designation of origin. Strolling through its streets you can discover the glorious past of Haro. Begin in Plaza de la Paz, followed by Santo Tomás street until you reach the Church. Then, continue along the Plaza de San Martín and the street of the same name until you finish again at the beginning of the route. In this way you will know the old town of the city and you can enjoy delicious tapas in what is known as La Herradura.
In addition to its historic quarter full of beauty and history, in Haro you will find the largest concentration of centenary wineries in the world. All of them arose thanks to the railway station and a plague of phylloxera in France that ended all crops, moving the wineries to this town.
